School Start Times to Change for 2017-2018 School Year
School Year 2017-18 School Start Times
Starting in the 2017-18 school year, early-start schools will switch to late-start schools and late-start schools will switch to early-start schools. There will be no changes to middle and high school bell schedules.
The school start time changes will begin in the 2017-18 school year and are per Board Policy 6112, which states that elementary schools (this includes K-8 schools) shall be rotated between an early-start schedule and a late-start schedule once every five years.
New start times for our school will be: Grade 1-5-M, T, Th, F -8:15 AM-2:55 PM, Wednesday 8:15 AM-12:25 PM, Kindergarten-M, T, Th, F-8:15 AM-2:10 PM, Wednesday 8:15 AM- 12:25 PM, Transitional Kindergarten-8:15 AM-11:35 AM every day.
Once again these changes will take place in the 2017-18 school year. We are informing you now so families have plenty of time to plan for the new start times.

Horario de inicio de clases para el año escolar 2017-18
A partir del año escolar 2017-18, las escuelas que operan actualmente con un horario de entrada temprano cambiarán a un horario de entrada tarde. Las escuelas que operan actualmente con un horario de entrada tarde cambiarán a un horario de entrada temprano. No habrá cambios en los horarios de las escuelas secundarias y preparatorias.
Los cambios en el horario de inicio de las clases entrarán en vigor en el año escolar 2017-18 de conformidad con la Política de la Mesa Directiva 6112, que establece una rotación cada cinco años en los horarios entrada temprana y entrada tarde de las escuelas primarias (incluye a las escuelas K-8).

Anti-Bullying Awareness Month
Thank you to all the students and staff at McAuliffe who supported anti-bullying efforts on October 18th by wearing white shirts and blue jeans. By participating, we help bring awareness to school bullying and how it can be stomped out. McAuliffe sent a clear message that there is no place for bullying at McAuliffe or any Oceanside school.

Minimum Days 2016-2017 School Year
In addition to our normal minimum day schedule on Wednesdays, the following days will also be minimum days:
9/20/16 and 1/31/17.
Students will be dismissed at 1:05 on these days. Please plan for your child to be picked up at dismissal.
